For more than a decade, Mensa Kids Trek and Oakwood University Chemistry Lab have been doubling, doubling, toiling, and troubling on the Monday before Halloween in presenting the Annual Chemistry Night. If you have never attended, this is your year to be there! The youngest participant ever was nine months old, and the oldest was nearly ninety years old.
The event consists of two hours of hands-on chemistry experiments in a real chemistry laboratory with lab assistants on hand to assist you.
This year's event, as always, is free. All children must be accompanied and supervised by adult partners. Please bring your own 9-oz plastic cups (the kind used for punch) and join us on Monday, October 26, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Oakwood University Chemistry Lab. If you have questions or would like to share your favorite safe chemistry experiments with the group, email Martha Williams, marthafeld@earthlink.net.
